Maddie Kadlec

Singer Songwriter

Maddie Kadlec is 24-year-old singer-songwriter based in Minneapolis who writes folk songs with jazz influences. As a multi-instrumentalist, she plays 5 instruments including guitar, bass, keys, ukulele, and accordion. Her main musical passion is voice. Frequently compared to Jewel, her vocals were described as "pop perfection, giving us just the right blend of vulnerability, vocal turns and silvery high notes."

Maddie began performing professionally at the age of 14 with her mom in the duo, the Turtledoves. During their 3 year Friday-night residency at Breezy Point resort and hundreds of performances around Minnesota, Maddie honed her musical craft and learned the joy of songwriting. She later went on to study music and received a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Music Education from Concordia College. She has been an educator for 3 years and loves sharing learning through music.

You can hear Maddie on sundecks, in restaurants, and in breweries with playing covers of her favorite songs, encompassing so many genres and decades that every listener can find a song they adore in each show. Maddie's debut album will be released in August of 2023. Follow her on social media to stay up to date on what Maddie is up to.
